Carter Beauford: The best out there?

The advantage of graduating from Jazz (if thats ever possible) is mastery over your instrument (perv, i know what you are thinking). Disadvantage of staying in Jazz: being mistaken for Cuba Gooding Jr screaming "Show me the money" repeatedly as if he suffers from OCD, Tourettes & foaming epilepsy at the same time.

Lets look at the most illustrious drummer grad from Jazz class of 1991, Carter Beauford. When I meant 'look', I really did mean it. So.... LOOK:

Now now, dont be shy to press play again & again & again. Watching this bloke drum is almost as good as..... sex!! Ahhhhhhh ... after my millionth 'multiple orgasm' watching him, I declare/judge Carter Beauford be the best drummer of our times. Give him a tune and he'll weave a drum solo around it without killing the song's harmony (like the one above) and still wont seem ostentatious or soul-less like those faggots from Dream Theater who seem to make music for the glamor of being 'excellent' at their thing. BTW, if you still dunno who this guy plays for, I dont blame you, they aint big in rock or pop or jazz or any of the known genres, so I created one for them and its called 'creative'. I'd rather watch you kids walk in your Anti-Christ, Black, heavy metal T-shirts or look at you 'mature' jazz/blues fans stay smug in your own gas and have a hearty laugh at what your insular choices have you missing than give out the dope on his band. But I know you asswipes will google him! What a bane search engines can be.

ok couple of things, carter is king no doubt and dmb allows him to go berserk as do the rest of them in a way no band can. But dream theater much as its soul-less has a sort of perfection to their music that in itself is worth listening to. but then again it's your blog and my two cents.
